The Fall Classic Finds A Theme
By its third year, the Fall Classic had grown again, this time welcoming twenty-four golfers to Rockway for a pirate-themed day on the course.
The larger field, custom artwork, themed presentation, and increasingly elaborate tournament format marked another step in the event’s evolution. What had begun with three golfers was now becoming a full annual production with returning players, new faces, prizes, side challenges, and its own distinct personality.
Familiar twists returned throughout the round, giving every team opportunities to gamble, strategize, recover from disaster, or create entirely new disasters.

How the Day Played
The tournament continued using its two-person scramble format, enhanced by strategy tickets, throws, par-three mulligans, the seven-iron hole, and additional pirate-themed challenges that turned the course into an adventure as much as a competition.
The pirate edition was the year the Fall Classic truly began to feel like an event. With twenty-four golfers and a theme that extended beyond the scorecard, the tournament had found a playful identity it could reinvent each year.
