The Field Expands
One year after the inaugural tournament, the Fall Classic returned on a much larger scale. Sixteen golfers arrived at Rockway Golf Course, transforming a three-person experiment into a full two-person scramble filled with filmmakers, friends, family, and members of the community.
The familiar tournament twists returned, but the larger field brought new energy, new strategies, and the first real sense that the Fall Classic had found an audience beyond its original three players.
The day also raised $320 for student film, giving the growing tournament a direct connection to supporting new filmmakers.

How the Day Played
Players once again navigated throws, strategy tickets, par-three mulligans, and the seven-iron challenge. In the scramble format, every decision now had to be made as a team: use an advantage early, save it for later, or hope the golf itself would be enough.
The second Fall Classic proved that the first year had not been a one-time outing. New players joined, money was raised for student film, and the tournament began finding the shape and personality it would carry forward.
Some of the rules were edited and solidified this year! After finishing only six or seven inches short of the green on a par three, Jenna and Lana used their strategy tickets to move the ball onto the putting surface and claim a mulligan. It was allowed under the rules at the time—but it sparked one of the biggest post-round debates of the day.
The group ultimately decided that future players could not use tickets or tosses to earn mulligans, improve a Long Drive result, or win Closest to the Pin. The moment became an important part of shaping the tournament rules for the years ahead.
Moments We’ll Remember
Lex Clears the River
When Josh told Lex there was no chance he could use his toss to clear the river, Lex took that as a challenge. He launched the ball cleanly across and proved his uncle wrong in spectacular fashion.
No Winner for Closest to the Pin
The Closest to the Pin challenge went unclaimed in 2023 after nobody managed to land on the green. Sometimes the course wins.
Honorable Mentions
Jason Green successfully kept Kenny’s Cup in his hands, this time with Adrian Konstant as his partner. The victory finally added Adrian’s name to the trophy alongside his longtime filmmaking partner.
Daniel claimed the Long Drive prize on the 18th hole.
After the round, players gathered to trade stories, offer feedback, debate the rules, and immediately begin discussing how the tournament could become slightly bigger, and considerably more chaotic, the following year.
