A Tradition Begins
The very first Fable Forest Films Fall Classic could not have asked for a better beginning. Under perfect autumn skies at Grey Silo Golf Course, Jason Green, Adrian Konstant were joined by the brilliant actor Derek Lackenbauer for the first battle over Kenny’s Cup.
There was no large field, elaborate prize table, or proven tournament formula. There were three golfers, a newly created trophy, and an idea that had been waiting years to reach the first tee.
By the end of the round, the Fall Classic had its first champion and all three players were already talking about doing it again.

How the Day Played
The first Fall Classic was an experiment in making golf more strategic, unpredictable, and fun. Players could throw their ball once per nine holes, use lengths of admission tickets to move it without taking a stroke, earn mulligans by reaching the green on par threes, and play the seventh hole using only a seven iron.
Unused tickets also became the tiebreaker, making every advantage a decision rather than a free pass.
Moments We’ll Remember
The final scores left Derek and Jason tied, meaning the remaining strategy tickets decided the first champion. Jason had enough left to claim Kenny’s Cup and become the first name engraved on the trophy.
The trophy itself had existed before the tournament did, already carrying the hope that this small first outing might eventually become something worth returning to.
Three golfers left Grey Silo with one champion, plenty of ideas for improving the rules, and a shared belief that the Fall Classic should continue.
