2024 Fable Forest Films Fall Classic – Kenny’s Cup Golf Tournament Rules

Fable Forest Films Fall Classic is a 2-Person ‘Director, Crew, and Tickets to the Show’ Scramble with Twists

–  A 6 inch roll around to give a preferred lie is acceptable. (No closer to hole & not to be used to gain challenge advantage)
– NO mulligans to start the game. Mulligans (retaking a shot) can be won and then used strategically. (See Rule #3)
– A lost ball costs you a stroke. Example:
      – 1st shot into hazard / lost ball
      – 2nd shot is a ‘place’ out of hazard, no closer to hole
      – Then you would be hitting your 3rd Shot

What is a Scramble? Each member of a 2 person team hits their drive off the tee, the best / favourite ball of the two is chosen by the team, both members hit their second shot from the location of the chosen ball, and repeat. In essence 2 attempts at every drive, iron shot, putt, etc…

The OSCAR Challenges
(Oscar Challenges must be won as a result of a first tee shot, tickets / throws / use of mulligans not allowed)
*Closest to the Pin on the 16th hole. (Ball must be on the Green to qualify)
*Longest Drive on the 18th hole. (Drive must be on the fairway to qualify)
*Closest to the Inconveniently Placed Cooler on the 12th hole, will make the shot into the green tougher! (WIN the Cooler Prize! The team must continue from this chosen ball location in order to qualify for this prize!)
(Write your name on the provided stake if you are closest / longest based on the challenges)

NOW FOR THE FUN STRATEGY RULES!!
#1 Each team gets 24′ of tickets to be used to either get a better lie or avoid a stroke. Examples:
– Use 3 feet of tickets to get out from behind a tree.
– 5 feet away from the hole in 3 strokes on a par 4? Cut off 5 feet of tickets and get a birdie for that hole.
– A whole ticket must be used if less than a ticket is needed.
– Used tickets need to be thrown away in the trash.
– Tickets CAN’T be used to help win Oscar Challenges, or to move you onto a Green to win a Par 3 mulligan.
Remaining tickets are brought in at the end as they could play a key role in a tie breaker situation!

#2 Once per 9 each player gets to ‘Toss’ Their Own Ball by hand. (Mark ‘T’s on the scorecard to keep track.)
-The toss counts as a stroke if used.
-Tosses cannot be used to win * challenges, or to win mulligans.

#3All Par 3s – Any player who lands their ball on the green will win a Mulligan (A team can win 2 mulligans per Par 3). Won mulligans should be marked on the scorecard for the hole with the players initials.
– Mulligans won on the front nine can carry over to the back nine as well.
– Mulligans can be used only by the players who won them to ‘retake’ any shot they wish (Drives, Irons, Chips, Putts) and should be circled on the scorecard to indicate they were used.
– There are no points for unused mulligans, strategically use them or lose them.

#4 7th Hole – All players must use 7 irons only (even on the green – be careful)

WINNERS Lowest scoring team wins. In the event of a tie, the team with the most tickets left wins. (Strategy – Don’t want to save too many, since having more tix only helps in the event of a tie)
