2024 Tournament Details

Mark your calendars for October 5th, 2024! This years tourney will be held at the Rockway Golf Course in Kitchener, ON. The event is likely to begin at 12pm noon (tee times will vary), so be sure to arrive early for registration and to pickup your rules card and ‘tickets’!

Rules and Format

The Fable Forest Films Fall Classic generally follows a scramble format, but with many twists and turns, ensuring a fun and competitive environment. This year again we will have Teams of Two who will compete, with each player hitting a shot from the tee, and the best shot being selected for the next stroke. (Until the reverse Scramble holes of course!) This process continues until the ball is holed out. Mulligans can be won on par 3s,

and there will be various contests and prizes throughout the day, including longest drive and closest to the pin.

All participants are required to adhere to the dress code: collared shirts and no denim. Please respect the course and fellow players by maintaining proper golf etiquette at all times. The tournament will proceed rain or shine, so be prepared for any weather conditions.

Our tournament is more than just a game; it’s a tribute to our superfan, the late, great Kenny Green! Jay’s dad Ken was a huge supporter of the Fable Forest team on and off set! He and Jay would often talk about the dream of having a tournament where actors and filmmakers would join the public for a great day of golf! He helped inspire the tournament format and the trophy symbolizes the spirit of competition and camaraderie that Kenny envisioned. Our team, honor his legacy and work to make this event a success every year. Join us in celebrating Kenny’s passion for golf, filmmaking, and family!

Supporting Student Filmmakers Through the Fable Forest Film Fund

Our mission is to provide financial support to student filmmakers, enabling them to bring their creative visions to life. The Fable Forest Film Fund, fueled by events like our golf tournament and F4 (our film festival launching in 2024), ensures that some students will have the resources they need to succeed. Last year’s featured project is ‘BIRD,’ a short film that explores the awkwardness of a person living with a non visible disability. Play golf and Meet our dedicated team, passionate about nurturing young talent. Thank you for your generous support, which makes all of this possible.
